After a year and a half of dialysis Angelica was ready to undergo the biggest surgery in her life: a kidney transplant. Her mom would be the organ donor. In September 2013, Angelica and her mom went through a successful kidney transplantation surgery at two remarkable hospitals close to each other: the Memory University Hospital as well as Children's Health of Atlanta Egleston.
